【摘要】:1.1Thesereferenceradiographsarereproductionsoforiginalradiographsandillustratevarioustypesanddegreesofdiscontinuitiesoccurringintinbronzeandrelatedtypesofalloys.ThereferenceradiographfilmsareanadjuncttothisdocumentandmustbepurchasedseparatelyfromASTMInternationalifneeded.Theyareintendedtoprovidethefollowing:1.1.1Aguidetotherecognitionofcommondiscontinuitiesandtheirdifferentiationbothastotypeandseveritylevel.1.1.2Astandardnomenclatureforreferenceinacceptancestandards,specificationsanddrawings.1.1.3Asourceofreferenceradiographsfromwhichmanufacturersandpurchasersmay,bymutualagreement,selectparticularradiographstoserveasstandardsrepresentingminimumacceptability.Thestandardssoestablishedareidentifiedbyanalphabeticdefecttypeandseveritylevel(orclass)designation.1.2Theoriginalradiographsareofdiscontinuitiesinsandcast88:8:4Cu-Sn-Zn,"G"type,bronzealloyplates.Thesediscontinuitiesarerepresentativeofthosefoundinwidesolidificationrangecopper-tinbasealloys.ThefollowingASTMspecificationsillustratealloyscoveredbythesestandards;however,itisintendedthatthesereferenceradiographsalsoapplytorelatedGovernmentandcommercialmaterialspecifications:ValvebronzecastingsB61CompositionbronzeorouncemetalcastingsB62TinbronzesandcastingsB584LeadedredbrasssandcastingsB584Copper-basealloycentrifugalcastings(asapplicable)B271SimilartoMIL-B-16541.SimilartoMIL-B-16444.
