Title:Compound, Alkaline Rust Remover Aircraft Turbine Engine Components

Scope:This specification covers an alkaline rust remover compound in the form of a liquid concentrate or water-soluble powder for dilution with water. This product has been used typically for removing rust from aircraft turbine engine parts by immersion in a solution of the compound at elevated temperature, but usage is not limited to such applications. These compounds are unsuitable for cleaning aluminum parts. Restrictions for cleaning titanium parts may be imposed by the engine manufacturer.
